In the historical Gassan Diamonds Factory you will see how diamond cutting is done. A professional guide will explain the cutting process and tools. The company has 425 years of history and this makes the experience both exciting and educational. They start with a rough stone and during the tour you’ll see how it is cut and polished into a beautiful diamond.

At the end of the tour you get a glass of campagne with a diamond at the bottom. An experience diamond appraiser will test all these diamonds and let the group know which one is real. There always is one real diamond per group, making up for a thrilling end of the tour. The others leave with a nice cubic zirconia.

Obviously there also is a shop where Gassan Diamonds displays there own cut diamonds as well as big international brands. They also have a shop on Dam Square. The company is doing well, they’ve expanded to places like Singapore and London. The tour will give you a full understanding of the craftsmanship of diamond cutting.
