Jumping Amsterdam

Jumping Amsterdam is one of the most storied equestrian events in the world. Equestrian is a fancy word for horseback riding. The event is held in the RAI whose huge halls are turned in to a spectacular concourse. It takes place from 23rd until and including the 26th of January.

2014 will mark the 55th edition of Jumping Amsterdam. It is known to host the best international horse riders in both jumping and dressage. All the top riders will visit Amsterdam at the end of January, including Olympic and World champions.

Additionally to the Grand Prix and World Cup sports events, also expect a few top notch horse shows by the Hungarian Puszta and more. Back as well is the carriage driving event, Mennen in Mokum. On Sunday evening a mini marathon takes place. Four districts compete against each other. It’s a lively thing to see!

The children are not left out. The Novotel sponsored Children’s Matinee is a very diverse horse show which features some of the top riders as well. Your kids will marvel at the beautiful horses and will also enjoy the interaction with these great creatures.
